Fees are generated through usage of the Gambit protocol. You can earn a portion of these fees just by holding xGMT or USDG in your wallet.

Note that USDG is a soft-pegged stablecoin, it is designed to maintain a price of 1 USD as long as the system has a supply of stablecoins (BUSD, USDC, USDT) or as long as the system is over-collaterised. In cases where the system is under-collaterised, it is possible for the price of USDG to be below 1 USD. More info can be found in the Protocol explanation page.

xGMT rewards are also distributed to incentivise minting of USDG tokens. The distribution schedule can be found on the xGMT page.
